The St. Louis Cardinals and SSM Cardinal Glennon’s Medical Center are teaming up this season on a new program coined "Homers for Health." Fans are invited to pledge a donation for every home run hit by a Cardinals player throughout the season, with pledges starting as low as 25 cents each. All proceeds benefit Cardinal Glennon and its mission to provide financial support for children in its care. This year, David Freese and Matt Holliday are helping rally the St. Louis community, urging fans to show the same support to the children of Cardinal Glennon that they’ve shown their World Champion Cardinals. To find out how you can contribute and keep score on how much has been pledged so far, visit glennon.org/programs/homersforhealth. Regardless of when a pledge is made, donations count toward every home run hit during the 2012 regular season. Batter up!
