We all know Budweiser is known as King of Beers in its St. Louis hometown. Now, the beer is going on an adventure to find its most delicious companion to go alongside it: a king of burgers. Announced by Budweiser today—appropriately on National Beer Day, the official celebration of the repeal of prohibition of beer—award-winning chef David Chang is taking on the task to find the Bud & Burgers Champion through a coast-to-coast tour to find the best burger.

The journey across the nation will ultimately lead to the winner of the championship, who will win $100,000 to help fulfill their culinary dreams. And if the cash wasn’t enticing enough, the winner will also be invited to compete in a new cooking competition series for television called “United States of Burgers.”

Think you have the burger that can stand up to the King of Beers? Beer and burger enthusiasts over 21 can submit a video or photo showing their burger to explain why they have what it takes to be the 2015 Bud & Burgers Champion—and end up as a finalist on the “United States of Burger” television series. Those who make it past auditions to the semi-finals will face-off at 10 Bud & Burgers Championships events hosted at some of the nation’s hottest festivals this summer, including Stagecoach Music Festival, Free Press Summer Fest, Chicago Blues Festival and more.

“We’re bringing Bud and burgers home,” says Budweiser vice president Brian Perkins. “The grand finale will take place just down the street from where the burger was widely introduced to America: the 1904 World’s Fair. I think it’s safe to assume those burgers were washed down with an ice-cold Budweiser.”

See the final showdown and who will be crowned the winner hosted by Budweiser and Chang—who will be a judge alongside Budweiser brewmasters—at the home brewery in St. Louis on July 11. Until then, fans can follow along and support favorites online as well as keep up through the Budweiser Facebook and Twitter (#BudandBurgers) pages.

Then, keep watch for the winner to proceed as a finalist in the new six-episode series that will premiere on the Esquire Network this summer as the battles continue to find the perfect burger to pair with Budweiser.
