The Body
If physical fitness is your way to unwind, we suggest trying Bikram Yoga. There are many locations throughout the St. Louis area including, Hot Yoga Midwest, Bikram Yoga St. Louis and Bikram Yoga Chesterfield. Bikram incorporates breathing techniques, high temperatures and a series of stretching and poses. The poses are intentionally simpler than other forms of yoga because breathing, meditation and dedication to the practice are what Bikram yogis say are the major benefits. Bikram is a favorite around the ALIVE office. Upon heading to your first class our Account Executive Molly Ross suggests, “Concentrate and hydrate,” for success.

The Mind
In an earlier #31DaysOfMovement post, we discussed the benefits of guided meditation through the Headspace app. If technology is not your bag, there are many places around St. Louis that offer unique ways to find inner peace.  Receive reiki at  The Center For Mind Body and Spirit, participate in a healing drum circle at Mystic Valley or participate in a singing bowl session at The Living Insights Center

The Arts
The St. Louis Art Museum, Laumeier Sculpture Park, Contemporary Art Museum and The Pulitzer Arts Foundation all have a variety of summer events happening that will enrich your inner artist and inspire your work week.

The Earth
We’ve mentioned it before, but the abundance of parks and trails in St. Louis is quite impressive. Taking a daily walk during your lunch period or relaxing at a park after a stressful workday does wonders.
