Another shop on the Delmar Loop announced their impending closure last week through social media. Blue Bird the Boutique, one of St. Louis’ only locally owned retailers that carry their own in-house brand of merchandise, shared their decision to close their doors late last week on Facebook. Although their webstore will remain open, the brick and mortar location at 6635 Delmar Blvd. will close at the end of the month.

“After much debate we have decided to close the doors of our Delmar Boutique,” says store owner and Blue Bird Apparel designer Anna Friss through the store’s Facebook page. “Blue Bird Apparel will still continue online at www.bluebirdapparel.com and you will get to enjoy some amazing liquidation sales in store through the end of the month!”

Starting now through Jan. 25, 2015 the boutique will be liquidating their inventory with a discount of 20-90 percent off everything storewide. Fixtures, mannequins and other equipment will also be priced to sell. Gift certificates and store credit will be honored in store and online. In order to retain your gift card and/or store credit, go to the location to convert it for online shopping before January 25, 2015.

Friss is encouraging her loyal customers to continue to shop the locally made brand online and use the #BabeBird hashtag for sharing on social media.
