Falls new colorblocking hues will keep your step in style.

Just as the leaves have begun to turn, so has fashion’s demand for fall-friendly colors. Colorblocking, a trend that’s had runways abuzz for several seasons now, has taken a decidedly more sophisticated turn in terms of color. Orange, caramel, brown and black all currently anchor the trend, with this season’s it color, cobalt, boldly stepping in as the go-to pop hue. When it comes to heels, anything goes—from a chunky-heeled ankle boot to a slim stiletto—so it’s best to let your destination dictate your stem style. And while it’s lady’s choice in terms of structure, it’s the glamorous but functional golden-tipped ballet flat from Sam Edelman that has us in the mood to pick pumpkins, sip cider or attend any other fall fête that demands we look fabulous.
