Beauty Files: 5-Minute Morning Makeup Routine
I don’t know about you, but as the summer heat approaches with a promising busy schedule, I want bulletproof makeup in a timely manner. Here’s a quick and easy five-minute regimen that features makeup that lasts and is quick to apply.
First and most importantly, do not forget your sunscreen! I have had greatest response from even the most sensitive skin using Neutrogena Clear Face Break-out Free Liquid-lotion Sunscreen SPF 30. Next, apply your shade of MAC Lightful C Tinted Cream SPF 30. The best thing about this tinted moisturizer is that it controls oil as well. Yes, both have an SPF of 30. Do you need both? I never see the harm in making sure you are covered. Your skin will thank you later. If you have any blemishes, cover with your favorite concealer and set with MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder.
For the eyes, it is quick and simple to smear your favorite neutral color of MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot across the lid. This will help absorb the natural oils on your lid and crease less than the normal eye shadow in the heat. Top with your favorite waterproof mascara. I like waterproof in the St. Louis summer because of the humidity. Maybelline has multiple options in this area, as does Dior and Lancome. If you are someone that has to have eye liner, both MAC’s Powerpoint Eye Pencils and Urban Decay’s Glide-on Eye Pencil have a blend-ability up to about 30 seconds then dry to a long-lasting finish.
For your lips, it is equally important to make sure they are protected from the sun. Lip tints such as Sugar Fresh (SPF 15) and Neutrogena (SPF 20) all have beautiful colors. Because they are tints, they are super easy to apply without needing to worry about precision or lip liner. The lip tints add moisture, which makes them great beach accessories when the sea water is trying to dry them out. This article should also help you pack conservatively for that vacation you’ve been looking forward to. Enjoy sleeping in now that your beauty regimen is cut in half!
