Beauty Files: 5 Fall/Winter Must-Haves
As far as beauty products go, I have somehow become a junkie, collecting three to five different versions of the same product, countless lipsticks and several tubes of makeup that don’t even match my complexion. After an intense purging session the other week, I have narrowed my collection down to the necessities and have found that there are a few products that I am dying to get my hands on to supplement the many that I got rid of. Do any of these match the products that are on your beauty wish list?
1/ Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt: Skin tends to get a bit wacky when the temps drop, and it’s important to not forget about the importance of cleansing your scalp. Whether you dye your hair a lot (like moi), tend to collect oil or just need a vibrant refresher, this is one option that is sure to do the trick.
2/ Blissoma Fresh Mild Rice Facial Cleanser: Locally made and all natural, this is my favorite facial cleanser that works wonders all year ’round.
3/ MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Skin Equalizer: A good primer is so necessary to ensure flawless skin whether you wear liquid or powder foundation. The makeup artists I work with swear by options from MAKE UP FOR EVER and MAC.
4/ Nyx Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream: NYX lippies have been my guilt-free pleasure this year after discovering how great (and inexpensive) they are (ULTA was kind enough to send me a few options last year). The latest find is their line of matte lip creams which wipe on with precision in liquid form and dry into a gorgeous rich matte color. Newest shade on my list? Transylvania.
5/ tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer: If you are a minimal makeup wearer like myself, a good concealer is a must. Although I am currently using MAKE UP FOREVER’s full color option, I am excited to try tarte’s creaseless concealer because I really love their BB creams.
