The excitement for the STLFW finale show was palpable as we were greeted by the backstage crew last night and models got prepped and primed for the final night of Saint Louis Spring Fashion Week.
Dozens of models anxiously awaited their chance to cycle through hair and makeup, where tightly braided cornrows were being fashioned for designer Viktor Luna, and delicate curls and buns were neatly pinned up for the runway looks of Harbison. Amidst it all, the backstage crew stood nearby collaborating with the show’s designers, Luna, Harbison, Novis and Skif, drafting lineups and counting down to the moment of absolute frenzy when the first model stepped foot on the runway.
From Blue Bird Apparel models (for the pre-show presentation) clad in cat masks and smeared lipstick to faux hawks and leather leg garters donned by models for Luna, the behind-the-scenes show was almost as entertaining as the runway show. Keep scrolling to see all the action that took place behind the curtain before the Designer Showcase finale show.
