Astrology Insight: When Will I Find Love?

 In Culture

You’ve seen Barry Kerr’s work on before through his introductions to the basics of astrology. In this series, Astrology Insight, we’re inviting St. Louis to ask Barry questions about life, love, work and astrology. Armed with your birthday, location and birth time, each month Barry will read your chart to find the answers.

 Eager For Love

Eager For Love: Can you give me a specific time range (as in this year, next 6 months, etc.) that I will find the love of my life?

Dear EFL,

“The love of my life” part of your question is beyond the ability of astrology to predict. That’s more a reflection of how evolved and mature you are as a soul and as a human. But astrology can give insights about what kind of partners might best match the potential in you. Your birth chart offers insights into what you need in a relationship and what qualities you need in a partner.

For example, most of your planets, EFL, are in fire signs, including your “rising sign” in Aries. A partner for you will need to be able to hold his/her own in the face of your strong assertiveness. Your Venus (relationship planet) in Capricorn/10th house means you need a responsible, serious, goal-oriented and committed partner. With four planets in Sagittarius/9th house, you need someone who has a deep interest in the meaning of things and likes exploring and adventures. And with your Mars and Moon in Scorpio in your 8th house, a partner needs to be able to go to the depths of intimacy and vulnerability with you. Emotional intelligence and soulfulness is a must.

As for the timing part of your question, modern astrologers are less interested in predicting events than in showing you the timing of your cycles and the possibilities for growth they offer. So, having said that, I can tell you that over the next two years, during your first Saturn Return, Saturn will be giving clarity and structure to the way you relate to the meaning of life. Some of that will feel difficult. Some will feel supportive.

At the same time, Pluto will be transiting your Venus, giving you experiences that will transform your values and inform your understanding of what a relationship means to you. Then, in three to four years, Saturn and Jupiter will transit your Venus, heightening the chances that you will be able to manifest a love that matches your own level of evolvement at that point.

Currently, your progressed Moon is transiting your progressed Mars in your 7th house of partnership. This, no doubt, is fueling your emotional longing for a love partner, and a similar transit will happen for a few months in about two years. Either of these times could increase the likelihood of meeting someone, and it could be very hot stuff! But be aware: The initial sexual attraction might fade quickly. These encounters could merely be learning experiences, or it’s possible that such a relationship could deepen into something more as you are evolving in yourself.

For a more thorough analysis of all this, you might want to schedule a full reading with me or another trusted astrologer.
