In Style

It’s spring in New York for the fashion-minded. Designers have been debuting their Spring/Summer 2014 collections for nearly a week now at New York Fashion Week and ALIVE has been on the scene. We’ve rounded up our favorite looks for the coming season.

Alice & Olivia stayed true to their ultra chic yet feminine aesthetic; embellishment and print mixing were in abundance at the preppy-meets-pretty presentation.

J Crew wowed in perfectly tailored separates in bright colors and classic shapes. The packed presentation exuded a beach-y vibe that would make almost anyone want to pack their bags and head for the coast. We spotted local beauties of Mother Model Management Lauren Bigelow and Grace Hartzel rocking the looks to a “t”.

Jenny Packham took us back to the seventies with an interesting take on Edwardian dressing. This season marks the 25th anniversary for the designer’s intricate evening wear. Oversized bows at the neck and highly detailed jumpsuits will certainly be on the menu for spring.

Naeem Khan showed a glamorous Spanish and Mexican-inspired collection; the designer sent out beautiful gowns embroidered in floral Chantilly lace patterns as well as her signature beaded gowns.
