ALIVE Influencer Network Hosts Tasty Takeover: A Night of Edible Innovation This Week

The culinary community in St. Louis is getting hotter by the minute. This Thursday, ALIVE Influencer Network is inviting you to experience and gain insight to what our city as to offer with Tasty Takeover: A Night of Edible Innovation. The free event will be held at The Venture Cafe Gathering—a weekly gathering for the innovation and entrepreneurial community—from 3-8pm and will include delicious eats, drinks and plenty of conversation with some of the best local chefs, bartenders and brewers in the business as well as other great STL influencers.

Here’s a preview of what to expect on Thursday, March 3:

Creativity on Tap
3-8pm
Local breweries participating will lead an “Innovation in Beer” discussion at 6pm, offering-up some creative, must-try brews such as Old Bakery Beer Company’s Sweet Potato Chai made with Goshen Coffee or a Chinese Five-Spice Porter by Earthbound Brewery.

Innovation at Home: How to Make Healthy Eating Fun + Sustainable
5-6pm
Conversation with local health coach, food writer and photographer Sherrie Castellano of With Food + Love.

Influencer Marketing for Small Businesses + Non-Profits
5-6pm
Rub shoulders with small businesses and non-profits in a discussion covering the pros and cons of influencer marketing, and how innovation and creative thinking can lead to successful collaborations. Moderated by ALIVE Influencer Network.

Innovation in Brewing + The Business of Beer
6-7pm
Chat with some of the region’s top emerging brewers and beer professionals (Jon Shine of Urban Chestnut, Rebecca Schranz of Earthbound Beer, Ryan Sherring of Six Mile Bridge and James Rogalsky of Old Bakery Beer Company and more) on how innovation flows through business practices and brewing processes in the beer industry. Moderated by Troika Brodsky of the St. Louis Brewer’s Guild.

Bob Brazell of Byrd & Barrel, Josh Charles of Element, Bernie Lee of HIRO Asian Kitchen, David Kirkland of Cafe Osage and Katie Collier of Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria give insight to how they stay innovative, keep diners excited about their food and more. Moderated by Spencer Pernikoff of Whiskey & Soba.
