We’re thrilled to announce that ALIVE Media Group Co-Founder and Publisher Elizabeth Tucker has staked her claim on the coveted Folio: 100, joining the likes of media powerhouses such as Vogue’s Anna Wintour and Vice Media’s Shane Smith.

The industry-respected list is chosen annually by Folio: Magazine, a leading resource for media professionals, in an effort to recognize the industry’s most innovative entrepreneurs, thought leaders and market masters. Candidates are considered in five categories, including “Content Connoisseurs,” “Dynamic Disrupters,” “Marketing Masters,” “Revenue Generators” and “Visionaries.”

The list represents influential professionals from all corners of the industry, big and small, regional and national. In addition, 20 professionals are honored in the “20 In Their 20s ” category.

“This list—chosen by Folio:’s editors and from submissions sent in by your peers—celebrates the creativity and accomplishments of our colleagues that have had significant impacts on a company, brand or the industry at large,” says Bill Mickey, Editorial Director at Folio.

Tucker co-founded ALIVE in 2002 as a health and fitness newsletter and has since grown the media group with co-founders Kelly Hamilton (ALIVE Editor-in-Chief) and Attilio D’Agostino (ALIVE Fashion Director) to fill a gap in the media landscape by providing relevant lifestyle, fashion and culture content for St. Louis. In 2007, they took yet another leap and co-founded Saint Louis Fashion Week in an effort to grow the local fashion community and share the talent of both local and national fashion designers with St. Louis. Tucker has since grown both properties significantly,  in addition to raising as much as $30,000 for local charities each year.

Tucker, named as a “Revenue Generator,” was placed among a group of publishers, presidents, CROs and executives who have all surpassed the status quo in their markets in areas of revenue, content and more. Other 2014 honorees include Melissa Rosenthal, Director of Creative Services at BuzzFeed; Howard Mittman, VP and Publisher of GQ; Josh Berman, CEO of The Lucky Group; and Mark Howard, CRO of Forbes.

“This award really goes to the ALIVE Media Group team,” Tucker says. “They are the most talented, hardworking and passionate group I’ve ever worked with, and I am grateful to call them my colleagues.”

On Oct. 21, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City, the Folio: 100 Awards Luncheon and celebration will honor winners during the MediaNext Conference. For more information and to view the complete list of winners, visit the luncheon info page.
