Al Fresco At The Cheshire Dishes Up Hot Eats And Cool Cocktails To Kick Off Summer
Tonight, partygoers at Al Fresco at The Cheshire will celebrate the start of the summer season with poolside views, Italian eats and a cool selection of cocktails, wines and local craft beer. Here’s the scoop on what to snack and sip at Al Fresco at The Cheshire.
Basso’s award-winning executive chef, Patrick Connolly, is whipping up four flavor-packed dishes for the occasion. Connolly is kicking up the classic corn on the cob by finishing each wood-grilled ear with a slather of spicy aioli and a roll through pecorino cheese and chopped corn nuts. There will also be grilled shrimp served with whipped ricotta, a citrusy spoonful of the southern Italian sauce salmoriglio and garlic chips. Carnivores will devour the lamb Merguez sausage topped with harissa yogurt, carrots and a savory-sweet relish of pistachios and sultanas (seedless raisins). Lastly, Connolly will dish up wood-roasted shishito peppers along with bagna cauda, which literally translates to “hot bath” in Italian and is a traditional dipping sauce for vegetables.
Behind the bar, guests at Al Fresco will have their pick from Pinnacle Vodka cocktails, Urban Chestnut Brewing Company beers, Italian wines and sangria. Toast the start of summer with the island flavors of “Palm Tree Monsoon,” which combines Pinnacle Tropical Fruit Vodka, fresh-squeezed orange juice, grapefruit bitters and a splash of club soda. Purists will appreciate the clean flavors of the Italian vodka cocktail, which is Pinnacle Vodka with San Pellegrino and your choice of blood orange, grapefruit, or lemon flavored soda. Pours of Urban Chestnut’s popular Schnickelfritz and Zwickel will also be available.
