'A Tear In The Veil' This Wednesday At The World Chess Hall Of Fame
At 7pm on Wednesday, the World Chess Hall Of Fame hosts a lecture in coordination with their current exhibit, A Queen Within, entitled, “A Tear In The Veil: Beauty & Shadow In The Art Of Alexander McQueen.” The talk is led by St. Louis-based Jungian Psychoanalyst Mary Wells Barron M.A., M.I.M., M.B.A., who will explore the archetypal symbolism and feminism in the fashion created by McQueen.
To facilitate, Barron will present 45 images from “Savage Beauty,” the breathtaking Spring 2011 exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC that featured previously unseen images from the McQueen archives. The event is free, however seating is limited. Interested parties should RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
