A Novel Creation

If you haven’t checked out an exhibit at White Flag Projects lately, now is the perfect time for a return visit. The gallery’s latest addition, a new ancillary exhibition space called White Flag library, offers a refreshingly novel experience for art-lovers. Sam Korman, assistant director of White Flag Projects, hopes to begin integrating exhibits between the library and the regular gallery space to enhance the typical gallery experience for visitors. The White Flag library officially opened on Sept. 8 with a display of the touring “e-flux book co-op,” a mobile bookstore offering hundreds of titles on contemporary art, theory and criticism. Alongside the co-op, White Flag library also hosted a presentation by artist buzz Spector titled “Speed (of) reading,” examining the meaning of page turning. The space’s first artist exhibition, opening in January, features New York sculptor elaine cameron-Weir. For more information, visit whiteflagprojects.org.
