A Contemporary Coffee Shop Opens in Overland Park, Kansas

 In Food, Guide

Coffee shops often become a second home for those in the midst of studying, researching, working, starting a business, developing passion projects and everything in between—and sometimes it’s your environment that can make the difference between an afternoon chasing inspiration or banging your head against a wall. The freshly opened Pilgrim Coffee Co. in Overland Park, Kansas, about 30 minutes from Kansas City, revels in the variety of patrons attracted to their clean and modern yet cozy establishment.

Co-owned by husband-wife team Chip and Mary Tollie, the couple’s minimal philosophy extends to the menu, which features classics like the latte, mocha, Americano, pour-over, espresso or iced coffee, plus craft sodas, hot tea, cider, steamers and more. Pro tip: if you have a hankering for hot chocolate, you can’t do better than this place. Their hot chocolate is crafted from noted chocolate artisan Kyya, out of Springdale, Arkansas, and is every bit as rich and delicious as you could hope for.

Pilgrim Coffee Co. also just started adding a few sandwich options to the menu, with house-made butter from whipping cream and sea salt, as documented on the company’s Facebook page.
