The first-ever Murmuration Festival is happening on Sept. 23-25 at The Cortex Innovation Community. The weekend event will host an array of music, art and tech activities for the whole family. From the experimental electronica of Flying Lotus, to the dream pop of Tycho, to the indescribable and influential sounds of the legendary Deerhoof, come experience cutting-edge electronic, indie, pop, dance, trance and psych-rock acts, who are merging music and technology in new and fascinating ways.

4/ The Art
Art@Murmuration brings the convergence of art, music, science and technology into sharp focus with a collection of innovative installations. Five St. Louis artists, selected by a jury of local curators and artists, have created experiences that range from interactive works that invite viewers to explore abstract environments to installations that comment on how technology has impacted our daily lives.

5/ The Chefs 
Those with VIP tickets will enjoy a savory and sweet evening from Chef Sandia Hoormann, a weekend picnic with Chefs Stephen and Josh of Curtain Call Lounge, a preview of the Vicia restaurant with Chef Michael and Tara Gallina and, finally, Chef de Cuisine Chuck Friedhoff of Bixby’s will close out the Murmuration with a two-hour tasting that focuses on local flavors.

6/ The Food 
Exploring everything Murmuration has to offer takes a lot of energy. No matter your dining preference, they’ve got you covered with options from Drunken Fish, Ices Plain & Fancy, Juniper and more!

7/ The Entrepreneurs 
Meet entrepreneurs who create everything from algorithms that drive financial markets to cancer vaccines and tests to identify serious health issues earlier and less invasively. 8/ The Maker Expo
The Maker Expo is a diverse showcase of enthusiasts, crafters, hobbyists, engineers, artists and organizations who create amazing things in celebration of the DIY spirit. Equal parts science fair and tech meet-up, the expo encourages people to come together to show what they’ve made and share what they’ve learned.

9/ The Kick-Off 
Friday@Murmuration is an exciting and unique kick-off to the festival. Fans will participate in an interactive journey through St. Louis’ culture and art communities. With a focus on the musicians, artists, makers, and entrepreneurs who contribute to the city’s greater culture, the kickoff event gives fans an opportunity to interact with partners through creation, taste, dance, learning and captured moments.
