8 Valentine's Day Events to Check Out in St. Louis

Valentine’s Day in St. Louis is a great time to not only spend time with those you love, but also to check out the awesome events going on around the area. Couples, singles or those going out with friends can choose between music, outdoor hikes, a festival, dancing and more.

Valentine’s Night Hike
Feb. 13, Shaw Nature Reserve
Share time with your sweetheart this week by joining the Valentine’s Night Hike at Shaw Nature Reserve. Those who go will get to look at the stars and constellations, using the park’s telescope and can partake in hot beverages and delectable desserts afterward.

STL 250: Burnin’ Love Festival
Feb. 14, Art Hill in Forest Park
Celebrate both the holiday of love and the 250th anniversary of St. Louis with the Burnin’ Love Festival on Art Hill. Visitors can check out fireworks, a huge engagement party with couples proposing on this hill, local music acts, family-friendly crafts and activities, snack stations and 25-foot-tall heart.

Big Band Valentine’s Dance
Feb. 14, Casa Loma Ballroom
Spend the evening dancing to the music of the St. Louis Big Band. Those who are interested can take part in a complimentary dance lesson, and there will be plenty of drink specials available.

Chippendales
Feb. 14, Lumiere Casino
For a naughtier version of Valentine’s Day festivities, head out to the Lumiere Casino to see the Chippendales strut their stuff and perform live. This tour’s theme is sinful schoolboy.

Valentine’s Day with Erin Bode
Feb. 14-15, Jazz at the Bistro
If delicious food and tasteful music are your thing, don’t miss this evening with local jazz favorite The Erin Bode Group as they perform smooth sounds and romantic melodies.
 

Valentine’s Day Dinner
Feb. 14-15, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel
Prepare yourself for an evening of bubbly and a four-course, pre-fixe meal created by Chef Damien Faure. Visitors who would prefer to skip the dinner can enjoy champagne and treats at a separate gathering.

Cupid’s Undie Run
Feb. 15, Begins at Syberg’s on Market St.
Run solo or in a group in this year’s Cupid’s Undie Run, which raises funds for the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Half-naked runners take to the streets in total Valentine fashion, sporting red, pink, and white briefs, boxers and brassieres.

Enjoy one of the most romantic films of Hollywood history, “Casablanca.” The St. Louis Symphony performs the music as a giant screen shows scenes from the 1942 black-and-white love story.
