StartLouis: How To Run Your Start Up Profitably

Boots To Business: Reboot

Calling all vets: On Thursday, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) St. Louis District Office and the Veterans Business Resource Center (VBRC) will present a one-day entrepreneurial education program, Boots to Business: Reboot, to veterans and their spouses. The curriculum provides assistance to vets exploring self-employment opportunities by leading them through the foundational knowledge required for developing a business plan. Participants are also introduced to SBA resources available to help access start-up capital and additional technical assistance.
Square 1 Program applications are due by this Friday, August 14. Created by the Center for Emerging Technologies in the CORTEX innovation district, Square One is a free 10-week boot camp for IT, bioscience and consumer/manufactured products entrepreneurs and innovators. This year, GlobalHack teams will host its first civic hack. Teams will focus on creating technology solutions to make it easier for people to navigate the criminal justice system and resolve their issues faster. Winning teams win prizes from $5,000-$30,000.
