8 Places To Celebrate All Things Harry Potter This Weekend

Potterheads, our time has come to reminisce and unite for the release of the new Harry Potter book: “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts 1 and 2.”

All over St. Louis there are Harry Potter events happening this weekend—for both the release of the book and Harry Potter’s 36th birthday. If you’re looking for a place to don your best wizarding costume, we’re here to help. Here are eight places you can cast spells, make potions and drink butterbeer this weekend.

“The Party That Dare Not Speak Its Name”
The Book House
July 30; 5pm-12:30am
Celebrate the release of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” at The Book House in Maplewood, where they will be serving butterbeer and dragon milk. Enjoy a night of local vendors, a muggle wall, costume contest and more.

The Brunch That Must Not Be Named
Hard Rock Cafe
July 30; 11am-1pm
Head to Hard Rock Cafe to enjoy a Wizard brunch. Sit down in your chosen house, compete for house points through trivia, costume contests and games. Tickets include a buffer brunch, professional photo, a trip to the wand shop, potions classes and so much more.

Main Street St. Charles

Join Main Street Books in St. Charles in celebrating the new addition to the Harry Potter series: “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts 1 and 2”. There will be food and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Join The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis at Barnes & Noble in Ladue for a dramatic reading of the new “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” This family-friendly event will have craft activities for the kids and a portion of the proceeds will support The Rep.

Head to the St. Louis County Library Headquarters on Aug. 4 for a special screening of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” There will be a costume contest and magic-themed crafts, games and snacks.
