As part of the Sam Fox School Public Lecture Series, artist Xu Bing will bring his creative visions to St. Louis. His artistic and cultural interventions touch on the fields of public art, drawing, sculpture and many other mediums.

2/ TechArtista Hop Shop Beer Tasting
Feb. 25
Head to TechArtista for a happy hour with Saint Louis Hip Shop—a retail craft beer store located on Cherokee Street. Enjoy unique beers and food provided by Beast Craft BBQ and Seoul Taco. While the event is free to attend, if you’d like to request a beer for the Hop Shop, you need to RSVP.

3/ Centennial Beer Festival
Feb. 25-27
Moulin Events and The Malt House
Beer-lovers and makers unite for this year’s St. Louis Centennial Beer Festival at Moulin Events and the Malt House Cellar. The festival—named after the Centennial Malt House, which was built in 1876 and served as the malt house for Schnaider Brewery—features more than 200 beers and ciders from an impressive lineup of some of the best regional, domestic and international breweries.

4/ SLAM Underground: Leap

Saint Louis Art Museum
Inspired by the leap year, the Saint Louis Art Museum is challenging guests to take a chance and try something new. Sip on drinks at the bar, dance all night to the music by DJ MAKossa, try your skills in the Create Lab and take all the photos you want in the photo booth. Still not enough? Enjoy a performance by Hawthorne Headhunters and participate in Dare/Draw with City in a Jar, where you will sit, stare and draw a stranger.

5/ New Dance Horizons IV
Feb. 26-27
Touhill Performing Arts Center
In honor of Black History Month, three African-American choreographers are paired with a local dance company to create stunning and powerful performances.

6/ Wall Ball 2016
Feb. 27
Majorette in Maplewood
2016 marks Artscope’s 14th annual Wall Ball, an installment featuring local St. Louis artists who create pieces live, allowing us to witness their creative processes. Attendees bid on the work in a silent auction, and all the proceeds go toward furthering youth arts education in St. Louis. Benjamin Koenig, Hollywood Indian, and Evelyn Astegno are among the 16 featured artists.

7/ Jazz St. Louis Gala
Feb. 27
Four Seasons Hotel
This year’s gala will be featuring Jonathan Batiste of the Late Show with Steven Colbert, as well as a cocktail hour, dinner, and live auction. Proceeds benefit Jazz St. Louis’s outreach programs.
