1/ Big Muddy Blues Festival
Friday, Aug. 29 – Sunday, Aug. 31
A 30-band lineup comes together on three stages to produce 20 hours of music for the annual Big Muddy Blues Festival. All styles of blues music will be represented at this annual music showcase on Laclede’s Landing.

2/ Labor Day Art Fair In Queeny Park
Friday, Aug. 29 – Sunday, Aug. 31
Up to 140 juried artists from 20-plus states will come together at this annual art fair presented by the Greater St. Louis Art Association. Head to the Greensfelder Art Center for this Labor Day weekend event that is one of the longest running fairs in the region.

3/ Fielded With Ou Où And Skull’s Mind
Friday, Aug. 29
Apop Records in conjunction with The Luminary present Fielded, a dense piece of electro-pop by Brooklyn producer Lindsay Powell. Joining Powell are ambient, electronic duo Ou Où and collaborative experimental drone group Skull’s Mind.

4/ John D’s Birthday Weekend
Friday, Aug. 29 – Sunday, Aug. 31
McGurk’s in Soulard presents a weekend-long birthday celebration with live music from Irish rock band The Blaggard’s joined by Bog Hog Bronco. Enjoy beer, birthday cake and McGurk’s swag.

5/ Staenberg Group Gateway Cup
Friday, Aug. 29 – Monday, Sept. 1
The Gateway Cup bike races take place in the heart of four unique St. Louis neighborhoods this year. Cheer on your favorite racers in Lafayette Square, St. Louis Hills, on The Hill and in Benton Park.

6/ Japanese Festival
Saturday, Aug. 30 – Monday, Sept. 1
The Japanese Activities Committee, in conjunction with the Missouri Botanical Garden, presents the annual Japanese Festival. Celebrate Japanese culture with dance, food, arts and crafts.

7/ The Notch Launch Party with The Ready Room
Saturday, Aug. 30
New salon Notch is partnering with The Ready Room to celebrate their opening with a night of entertainment. Some of St. Louis’ best DJs, including ALIVE Magazine and Saint Louis Fashion Week resident DJ TrashTalk, will be performing along with other live bands. A silent auction will be held and a full cash bar will be provided with light bites. Attendance prizes will also be awarded.
