7 Reasons To Attend Grand Center’s Music at the Intersection
In its second year, Music at the Intersection is back again and promises to be better than ever. Starting June 17 and running through Sept. 16, Music at The Intersection will bring together 50-plus bands in ten venues for free concerts throughout Grand Center. Local beer tents, street artists, food and drink specials are all reasons you’ll find us there. We’ve teamed up with Music at the Intersection to bring you seven reasons why you’ll want to add this unique festival to your agenda throughout the summer.
1/ It’s Free
The Grand Center festival will host some of the best music all at an unbeatable price—free.
2/ Free Local Beer And Delicious Food
Be sure to swing by Strauss Park as our friends at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company will be pouring free beer samples at each concert. If you’re hungry, be sure to grab a slice from Vito’s or tacos from Lucha before heading to The Dark Room for a nice glass of wine.
3/ It’s All Local
The music lineup is packed with local bands. The participating restaurants are all local and the beer? It’s sourced locally as well.
4/ Music At The Intersection Celebrates America
The 50-plus artists are a variety of jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop, rock and roots—a collection of the best American-style music. Music at The Intersection’s lineup is all American music, and the summer is a perfect time to celebrate our great country and its musical contributions to the world.
5/ It Celebrates Collaboration
Businesses and nonprofit organizations throughout the Grand Center Arts District are working together to bring summer fun to the city. Music at The Intersection is definitely a collaborative effort. Support collaboration and community effort by attending.
6/ It Shows Off St. Louis’ Diversity
The amount of variety and talent in St. Louis alone will astound you, and they’ve packed a ton of it into one festival over three nights. See some well-loved local bands and be introduced to new favorites.
7/ Free Access To Some Of St. Louis’ Best Listening Room Venues
Jazz at the Bistro, the Kranzberg Arts Center and The Stage at KDHX might normally cost you a few bucks to see a show, but not during this magical three-day festival.
