7 Of Our Favorite Moments From The Spring Style Soiree At West County Center
Last night’s Spring Style Soiree Presented by West County Center, Saint Louis Fashion Week and ALIVE Magazine was packed with emotional moments, spring trends, great entertainment and gorgeous models. Fashion and philanthropy came together in a great collaboration for the evening and more than $4,000 was raised for Siteman Cancer Center charities and organizations to find a cure for cancer. Read on for a few of our favorite moments from the evening.
1/ The Strong Survivors
Nine cancer survivors walked the runway in the opening presentation with White House|Black Market. The crowd was moved, to say the least. Learn more about the survivors on our recent post on Style Notes.
2/ The Calm Before the Fashion Storm
It takes a village to produce a fashion show and while the guests mingled and mixed, the crew hurried around backstage preparing the models, looks, lights, music and more.
3/ The Savvy Styling
ALIVE Magazine and Saint Louis Fashion Week Fashion Editor Sarah Stallmann was tasked with styling and fitting 54 looks for the show. Every one, no matter what the designer, was transformed with Stallmann’s touch to create a complete look.
4/ The Generous Giving
One hundred percent of ticket proceeds went directly to Siteman Cancer Center charities and organizations. Fashion and philanthropy met on the runway last night and more than $4,000 was raised in support of finding a cure for cancer.
5/ The Fashionable Bloggers
In the past few years, thanks to the Midwest Influencer Network and a supportive community of smart bloggers, the independent publishing community has grown into a force not to be ignored. Last night, many fashion and style bloggers from the St. Louis area attended. Follow the hashtag #STLFW and @ALIVEMagSTL on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for their recaps.
6/ The Fabulous Hosts and Special Guests
Celebrity blogger and author Jenni Radosevich of I Spy DIY, Nina of NOW96.3 and blogger Angie Lewis of Honey & Denim all served as hosts and emcees for the evening alongside ALIVE’s own Elizabeth Tucker.
7/ The Spring Trends and Shopping
The stylish crowd took in looks from White House|Black Market, Nordstrom, The Limited, Altar’d State, Ann Taylor, MACY’s, Gap and Banana Republic. After the runway presentation, shopping commenced throughout West County Center.
