The race is on and Rungevity Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Half Marathon is back and promises to be bigger and better than last year. This week we’ve teamed up with Rungevity to bring you the five things to know before grabbing your running shoes and heading Downtown for this year’s festival.

1/ What To Expect

Returning for its fifth year, Rungevity Rock ‘N’ Roll St. Louis Half Marathon will take over the streets on Oct. 17 and 18. While running, rock enthusiasts will enjoy live entertainment on the course and a finish line festival with food trucks, a beer garden and a headliner concert. This is one block party you won’t want to miss.

2/ The Miles
Not only can you choose from multiple distance options depending on your age and ability level, but the half marathon, 10K and 5K all feature a scenic tour through the amazing streets of Downtown St. Louis. And everyone knows there is no better way to run than with a view.

3/ The Music
To help get you pumped for your run, live bands, cheer teams and an energetic crowd will be lining the streets to motivate you to go the distance. After crossing the finish line, celebrate with your friends and family at the post-race festival and concert, featuring music from Sister Hazel.

4/ The Medals
The only reason we run is for the glory, right? It’s a good thing that all runners will receive a finisher medal once the marathon is complete. Best part? If you decide to go the extra mile by running the two races, you’ll earn both finisher medals, plus the Remix Challenge medal. And who wouldn’t want that?

5/ The Moments
No matter if you’re conquering your own personal goals or competing for an age group award, the Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon Series is dedicated to the moments that give meaning to your miles (and achievements!).
