5 STL Date Spots You'll Want To Know About
We heard you have a date coming up. Congrats! We’ve also heard you’ve grown a little tired of meals shared at the neighborhood chain restaurants. We are, too. Luckily, we love to eat and discover new local spots with some amazing dishes. Surprise your date with one of these fab date spots and we’ll let you take all the credit.
Lunch-Lovers // Seoul Taco
This location is perfect for showing off the secret and delicious places you know hidden around the city. Impress your date with Seoul Taco’s Korean twist on Mexican cuisine and let the food do the talking. It’s amazing. We recommend following the meal with a walk around The Loop to visit some cool local shops and catch some rays before the winter winds roll in and make you want to take cover.
Seafood-Lovers // Wasabi Sushi Bar
We’re sure you’ve probably heard of (or have even visited) Wasabi Sushi Bar. So, we don’t need to sing the praises of their ingenious take on classic rolls and how fresh and tasty the menu always is. A secret we’ll let you in on, though: Monday Happy Hour lasts from 5-9pm, meaning you won’t have to rush from work to get in on this amazing deal. More than 15 rolls are BOGO, plus there are some great discounts on appetizers and brews.
Local + Organic-Lovers // Wild Flower
Whether you’re in the mood for brunch or a traditional Saturday night dinner, you cannot go wrong with Wild Flower. Planted right in the middle of the Central West End, the location is beautiful and is perfect for our Atmosphere-Lovers too (see below). All dishes are made from local and organic product, which is probably why everything is so phenomenal. If you can get your hands on the Sea Bass Risotto Special, do it. You won’t regret it. We promise.
Atmosphere-Lovers // Boogaloo
Oh, Maplewood, you have some yummy spots. Home of Schlafly Bottleworks, Foundation Grounds and Strange Donuts (all to die for), this growing part of the city is housing some other locations that deserve attention. Two words: bar swings. Yes, the bar seats are swings. Even better, the menu is just as cool as Boogaloo’s ambiance and unique interior design. The Cubano, Creole and Caribe cuisine is delicious and will set your taste buds on fire.
Cocktail-Lovers // Gamlin Whiskey House
The traditional and sophisticated steakhouse has a menu that’ll keep you coming back. But, the real treat is the impeccable selection of fine whiskey and bourbon. If that’s not your thing, Gamlin Whiskey House has a wine list and cocktail menu just as impressive and handcrafted for every guest’s satisfaction. We recommend sticking around for dessert and trying out the Boozy Ice Cream Flight.
Whether it’s the first date or the 100th, we wish you all the best.
