5 Reasons To Sign Up For the Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival
Returning for its sixth year on October 15-16, the Rock ’n’ Roll St. Louis Half Marathon is a can’t-miss running festival, where local bands will be rockin’ along the course. If you’re wondering why you should sign up this year, we teamed up with the Rock ’n’ Roll Series to bring you five reasons why you should lace up your running shoes and sign up today.
1/ Not only can you choose from multiple distance options depending on your age and ability level, but the half marathon, 10K and 5K all feature a scenic tour through the amazing streets of Downtown St. Louis and iconic neighborhoods that you’ll love exploring by foot. And everyone knows there is no better way to run than with a view.
2/ Even if you’re not the first person crossing the finish line, you’ll still be able to take home an exclusive half-marathon, 10K and 5K participant t-shirt and a blues-inspired medal … or two.
3/ Take the Remix Challenge for the opportunity to earn even more bling at the Rock ’n’ Roll Half Marathon. All you have to do is register and complete the 5K on Oct. 15 and the Half Marathon or 10K on Oct. 16. Once you complete both days of running, you can pick up your Remix Challenge medal. You definitely earned it.
4/ After working up a sweat, pick up a nice cold complimentary beer and enjoy a headliner concert at the finish line festival. Be sure to celebrate your accomplishment with friends and family while listening to headlining band The Urge.
5/ For runners also interested in overall health, this year’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Festival offers a health and fitness expo in halls one and two of America’s Center. For two days, 60 exhibitors will provide health and nutritional information. Attendees can look forward to free samples, running and sports apparel and last minute race essentials before race day.
