Dec. 10-14, Peabody Opera House
Winner of multiple Tony Awards and full of crazy acrobats, bright colors, big music and a fantastical storyline, “Pippin” takes audience members by storm in its whirlwind of a production. Telling the story of one young gentleman who longs to be famous and recognized, the musical takes him on all kinds of adventures and features hit tunes like “Magic to Do,” “Glory” and “Corner of the Sky.”

A Christmas Carol
Dec. 12-14, The Fox Theatre
Don’t miss out on the classic seasonal tale of “A Christmas Carol” as it comes to The Fabulous Fox. Featuring the story by Charles Dickens, along with characters like Ebeneezer Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, this production is a holiday legend.

A Christmas Story the Musical
Dec. 16-Jan. 4, The Fox Theatre
The hilarious story based on the life of Ralphie Parker, a child who seriously wants a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas and does what he can to convince his parents of this idea, is finally set to musical form. Expect all of the antics, one-liners and humor from the movie but with stunning music-and-lyrics that match.

Saint Louis Ballet: “The Nutcracker
Dec. 18-23, Touhill Performing Arts Center
The season is not complete without a beautiful performance of Tchaikovsky’s famous ballet, “The Nutcracker.” Featuring the well-loved and widely known music, this production by Saint Louis Ballet features choreography by Gen Horiuchi, impressive pyrotechnics, cool on-stage effects and more.
