Snowman Softball Tournament
Jan. 17-18, Central Fields in Forest Park
This weekend, the annual softball tournament takes place in Forest Park for the fifth year in a row. Those who watch can pay an entry fee and participate to win the tournament trophy, while spectators can still enjoy hot food, beverages and plenty of athletic entertainment.

Family Winter Carnival
Jan. 24, Soulard Market Park
This family-friendly event features plenty of free activities for the kids, great beers and food for all and a definitely Mardi Gras feel. Expect bounce houses, story events, fire trucks and police vehicles, interactive displays and more. The Children’s Parade takes┬áplace through Soulard in the afternoon.

Wine, Beer and Whiskey Taste
Jan. 30, Soulard Market Park
Delicious beers and beverages from around the world are all available for sampling during this adult Mardi Gras evening. Guests can also taste delicious and award-winning barbecue from places like Pappy’s, Salt + Smoke, Bogart’s and Sugarfire Smokehouse.

Lumiere Place Cajun Cook-Off
Jan. 31, Soulard Market Park
The region’s top chefs perform for winning titles in the annual Cajun Cook-Off event. Expect to see delicious jambalaya, po’ boys, gumbo and more during this gourmet competition. There will also be live music, courtesy of Johnny Henry, as well as talks from local chefs and foodie experts, free sampling and more.
