There’s no doubt about it. October is one of the best months for festivals. Check out our list for three of the most worthwhile festivals taking place in St. Louis this month.

Soulard Oktoberfest
Oct. 10-12, Soulard
The annual Oktoberfest event takes place this weekend and brings back the music, food and events that St. Louis has come to love. Guests can enjoy delicious grub including bratwursts, sauerkraut and more. Plus, the Soulard area offers up numerous events this weekend including dances, competitions and family-friendly activities. Whatever you do, don’t forget to grab a cold beer!

Oct. 14, Urban Chestnut Brewery on Washington Ave.
Don’t miss the third annual Barktoberfest, an Oktoberfest celebration for both humans and canine companions. Held at Urban Chestnut Brewery, this event provides delicious craft beers and food to humans as well as treats to dogs. Event-goers should also expect dog costume contests, games for dogs and even a four-legged polka contest.

Harvest Fest
Oct. 19, Laumeier Sculpture Park
Head over to the beautiful Laumeier Sculpture Park for the Harvest Festival, presented by both the park and Sauce Magazine. Guests can enjoy live bluegrass music, arts and crafts, food from local restaurants, a farmers’ market and numerous family activities throughout the day.
