Our events calendar has experienced an exciting flood of events this fall, especially those that celebrate nearby artisans and creators. It seems that now more than ever, everyone’s favorite places in St. Louis are embracing local makers. Hip boutique Kit + Ace in Central West End recently featured work by a St. Louis artist and even the Galleria’s beloved furniture and home store West Elm recently adopted the company’s LOCAL program. If events along the lines of Strange Folk Festival and the Best of Missouri Market & More are right up your alley, read on for more of the best in craft shows!

I-70 Shoppers Fair
Dates: Saturdays & Sundays, year-round
Time: 9am-4pm
Location:  4894 North Service Rd., St. Peters
Explore this indoor/outdoor marketplace every weekend of the year to find handmade crafts, jewelry, clothing, antiques and furniture. Enjoy lunch at the food court and music and entertainment outdoors.

Wentzville Flea Market & Crafts Show
Dates: Sundays, year-round
Time: 6am
Location: 354 Main St., Wentzville
Wentzville Community Club hosts a flea market featuring several hundred vendors every Sunday throughout the year. Eat breakfast or lunch at the Blue Pitcher Cafe, survey the crafts of local artists and round out the afternoon with a game or two of bingo.

St Louis Swap Meet
Dates: Sundays, year-round
Time: 8:30am-3pm
Location: 3500 Lemp Ave., Benton Park
Shop from more than 150 vendors for handmade crafts, art pieces, fresh produce, vintage items and jewelry. The marketplace is located in a scenic area of Downtown St. Louis and is just a short walk away from Cherokee Street Antique Row. Following shopping, walk across the street for beer and wine at the Irish Corner Pub.

St. Louis Vintage Market Days

Location: 631 Veterans Place Dr., Chesterfield
St. Louis Vintage Market Days offers a little bit of everything—antiques and collectibles, vintage clothing and jewelry, scents and homewares, reclaimed wood furniture and toys—along with repurposed crafts and handmade goods. Gourmet bites are offered to fuel your shopping. General admission is five dollars.

South County Family YMCA Fall Gift & Craft Fair

Support your local YMCA by venturing to the Fall Gift and Craft Fair. Admission is free and handmade goods abound.

2015 Schlafly Art Outside
Dates & Times: Oct. 11 5-10pm; Oct. 12 10am-10pm; Oct. 13 12-4pm
Location: 7260 Southwest Ave., Maplewood
Enjoy local art and local beer at Schlafly Art Outside where more than 50 St. Louis artists will present their work. Live music and storytelling complement the craft booths.

Craftoberfest: An Indie Handmade Night Market

Location: 3229 Washington Ave., Downtown
Over three dozen local makers will present their goods at this year’s Craftoberfest, including Enamel, Flowers & Weeds, Wabi Sabi Textile Co., Made Supply Co., Newberry Furniture and Binx Ceramics, among many others. Enjoy folk music by Arson For Candy and fresh eats by Lulu’s Local Eatery and get your tarot read under the stars.

Lindbergh Lacrosse Arts, Crafts & Vendor Show

Location: Robert H. Sperreng Middle School, 12111 Tesson Ferry Rd., Sappington
This year’s craft show includes many vendors and food trucks. Local artists will be in attendance to talk about their artistic process and answer questions about their work.

9th Annual Harvest Festival Presented by Sauce Magazine
Date: Oct. 18

Location: 12580 Rott Rd., Sunset Hills
A festival organized by a food magazine is bound to be tasty. Enjoy fresh produce and craft beer and Missouri-made wine as you shop locally made artisan goods. Food vendors include Serendipity Ice Cream, Pappy’s Smokehouse, Revel Kitchen and The Dam, among others. Live music by Riverbend Bluegrass Band and The Missouri Rounders will set the folky vibe. Don’t miss prints and watercolors by Sadly Harmless, homemade paper goods and housewares by Sprouted Designs, kitchen tools by Newberry Furniture and jewelry by Blue Quail Design.

This makers market is a presentation of goods you won’t want to miss. For accessory-lovers, there’s Envisage Vintage Jewelry and Dess Handbags, along with other handmade crafty wares.

ToyMan Show

2015 marks the 25th year in the running for the ToyMan Show. Enjoy new vendors this year for a wide selection of comic illustrations, collectible toys, posters, model kits and costumes at 200 different booths.

Francis Howell North 7th Annual Craft Fair

Location: 2549 Hackmann Rd., St. Charles
This craft fair features 130 vendors to sell handmade housewares, crafts, accessories and specialty upcycled items.

7th Annual Hawken House Christmas Market
Date: Nov. 8
Time: 10am-4:30pm
Location: 60 N. Gore Ave., Webster Groves
This year’s market will feature goods by local crafters, including ceramics, paintings, paper goods, knit and crocheted items, furniture and porcelain. The market takes place in a premier garden center of St. Louis in the historic downtown Webster Groves. Enjoy light refreshments, carriage rides and a trolley following shopping as you explore the neighborhood.

Artropy Craft Show
Date: Dec. 5

For an extensive selection of handmade holiday goods made by local St. Louisans, visit Artropy on the first Saturday of December from 10am-4pm. This year’s boutique craft show features fashion, jewelry, and art, made by almost three dozen area artists. In keeping with the holiday spirit, the arts and crafts show will benefit Tenth Life Cat Rescue which helps find safe adoptive homes for cats.
