15 Free Outdoor Movie Events This Summer

Whether ’80s flicks or classics are your favorite, St. Louis’ outdoor cinema scene is heating up for summer. Pack a picnic for an evening under the stars and in the open air.

Art Hill Outdoor Film Series

Every Friday in July, make the trek to Forest Park for music and a movie on St. Louis’ beloved Art Hill. Event goers are encouraged to bring picnics, but food trucks are also on hand. Music starts at 7; show time is at 9.

July 5 – Music: Sheldon Blues Band featuring Kim Massie
Movie: Casablanca (1942)

July 12- Music: Ryan Spearman Band
Movie: West Side Story (1961)

July 19- Music: Kreative Pandemonium
Movie: The Princess Bride (1987)

July 26- Music: La’Tinos Latin Tropical Band

White Flag Projects’ A Film to be Determined

Feel like playing movie roulette, leaving the film selection to a well known artist and not to be announced before the showing? Then embrace spontaneity and head to White Flag Projects at the corner of Manchester and Kingshighway. The films will be on the White Flag Lawn on a 25 foot screen, weather permitting. An added perk: the gallery is open for viewing as well.
