11 Menu Favorites For 1111 Mississippi's Anniversary
Tomorrow, St. Louis favorite 1111 Mississippi will celebrate its 11th anniversary on, of course, Nov. 11. Ever since its opening, the fine dining establishment continuously sees a rise in business on the 11th of every month, and tomorrow will likely be no different. There will be $11.11 food and drink specials as well as prizes and more going on to mark the occasion.
In honor of all things 11, we asked the Lafayette Square destination what the top 11 items on the menu were. Here are their picks:
1/ Shrimp and Corn Bisque
2/ Eleven Eleven Lobster “BLT”—bourbon apples, Maine lobster, thyme remoulade and watercress sprouts
3/ Wild Boar Ravioli—tomato vodka cream sauce and parmigiano-reggiano.
4/ Oak Oven Roasted Mussels—Nueske’s bacon, garlic and cilantro pesto with a side of house-made focaccia to scoop up the extra broth.

As for 1111 Mississippi restaurateurs Paul and Wendy Hamilton, the co-owners’ favorite meal would consist of the Wild Boar Ravioli as a starter, then the 12-ounce Char Crust Dry Rubbed Ribeye prepared medium rare and finished off with the Napoleon.
