Missouri Lottery 5K Run for Your Beads
Feb. 7, Soulard
Runners of all skill levels show up for the  Run For Your Beads 5K wearing purple, green and gold and donning lottery- or Mardi Gras-themed accessories. Runners 21 years of age or older get to partake in beer or hurricanes at pit stops along the way.

Southern Comfort Taste of Soulard
Feb. 7-8, Venues Around Soulard
With a definite Cajun theme and numerous participating restaurants and pubs, the Southern Comfort Taste of Soulard is the top foodie event of St. Louis Mardi Gras. Some of the venues include Big Daddy’s, Joanie’s Pizzeria, Llwelyn’s, Mission Taco Joint, Sassy Jac’s, Soulard’s Restaurant and more.

Beggin’ Pet Parade
Feb. 8, 12th & Allen in Soulard
Don’t miss out as dogs from across the area compete to win the titles of King and Queen of Barkus in this year’s Beggin’ Pet Parade. With proceeds benefiting Open Door Animal Sanctuary and plenty of adorable pooches in Mardi Gras costumes, this is an event well worth attending.

Wiener Dog Derby
Feb. 8, Soulard Market Plaza
The cutest little dachshunds around take part in the annual Wiener Dog Derby where participants compete in categories like “Hot Dog,” “Ballpark Frank,” and “Cocktail Weenie.”

Mayor’s Mardi Gras Ball
Feb. 13, Saint Louis City Hall Rotunda
With gourmet food, beautiful ballgowns and black-tie attire, entertainment from That 80’s Band and an evening hosted by Mayor Francis Slay, this year’s Mayor’s Mardi Gras Ball is one of the most anticipated Mardi Gras celebrations.

Bud Light Grand Parade
Feb. 14, Soulard Neighborhood Ending at Anheuser-Busch Brewery
Recognized as one of the Midwest’s largest Mardi Gras events, the annual Bud Light Grand Parade makes its way throughout the Soulard area, ending up in Benton Park. The parade features floats, musicians, acrobats, dancers, and much more.

Light Up the Night Fat Tuesday Parade

Say farewell to Mardi Gras 2015 during this last evening of celebrations at the Fat Tuesday Parade downtown. Expect to see bright lights, floats, dancing, the IdiotDash and special Bluesday giveaways and events (thanks to a partnership with Mardi Gras Inc. and the St. Louis Blues). Numerous Washington Avenue restaurants and bars participate in the evening’s festivities.
